Join Marla Tolz of Sun Drawn for a hands-on natural dye workshop at Super Stories! In this class, creators will explore the art of bundle dyeing using garden grown fresh and dried flowers, and other plants. Together, we will discover how to create color from nature, learn the basics of bundle dyeing, and transform an organic cotton bandana into a one-of-a-kind wearable piece of art. We will also use inks to create works on paper, and enjoy some light refreshments!

Flower Magic

A Plant Dyeing and Floral Arranging Workshop for Children

September 13, 2025 | 10am-12pm | Family Friendly (kids must be accompanied by an adult) | $50 per person | Sweet Flower Farm 739 Center Hill Road, Copake, NY

Join us for a magical, flower filled morning at Sweet Flower Farm!

In this hands-on Natural Dye Workshop with Marla Tolz of Sun Drawn, we’ll use freshly picked blooms straight from the field to create one-of-a-kind “flower field” playsilks.

While the silks are soaking up dye, each child will be given the chance to make their own floral arrangement with instruction from Frances Grace of Sweet Flower Farm.

You’ll leave with a beautifully dyed silk creation and new inspiration from the garden. No experience necessary. Just bring your creativity!

This is a child-centered, all ages workshop. Children must be attended by a parent or caregiver. Pricing is for one 21" square playsilk and floral arrangement per child. Light refreshments and kid friendly snacks served.
